The 1968 Dodge Charger restomod called the Rebel Ghost is one of the most complete pro touring Mopar builds Mopar Bro has ever covered at a Canadian car show. Built by Boot Hill and owned by Richard Girard out of Ancaster, Ontario, the Rebel Ghost entered Toronto Motorama 2026 for the very first time and earned Canadian 10 Grand Champion Finalist — a result that tells you everything you need to know about the calibre of this build before you even get close enough to see the details. The Rebel Ghost 1968 Dodge Charger restomod runs a 1000 horsepower Mopar Hellcat crate engine with a tuned pulley change, sits on a Fast Track chassis with upgraded independent rear suspension, and wears Jet Black 90 Line Glasurit paint over a body that has been dropped 4 inches on a custom fabricated floor and tunnel. This is not a standard classic car restoration — this is a full ground-up pro touring Mopar restomod built to a world-class standard.
The drivetrain in the Rebel Ghost is a Mopar Hellcat crate engine tuned with a pulley change to 1000 horsepower, backed by a Tremec 6-speed transmission and a chrome moly driveshaft. Cooling is handled by custom CPW Rad-Twin fans with a dedicated supercharger cooler. The exhaust system is 3-inch stainless with colour matched powder coating throughout. Vintage Air provides climate control. Electronics are Holley EFI Digital Pro Dash with Infinitybox Intelligent Power Management and Infinitybox Incontrol Rotary Interface, and the front end runs Holley Retrobright LED headlights for a clean, modern lighting package inside the classic 1968 Charger body.
The body and fabrication work on the Rebel Ghost is where Boot Hill's craftsmanship is most evident. The entire body has been dropped 4 inches on a custom fabricated floor and tunnel — a full structural modification that transforms the stance of the 1968 Dodge Charger completely. The car is mini-tubbed. Front and rear bumpers are fully pocketed and all trim has been pocketed clean for a smooth, uncluttered body profile. A custom shaker hood sits on top of the Hellcat crate engine. The paint is Jet Black 90 Line Glasurit — a premium German paint finish that delivers the kind of depth and gloss that makes a jet black car look genuinely different from a standard black paint job under show lighting.
The chassis is a Fast Track setup with upgraded independent rear suspension, rolling on 3-piece Avant Garde custom offset wheels with Michelin Pilot tires at 245/35ZR20 front and 355/25ZR21 rear. Inside, custom carbon front and rear seats with carbon door panel inlays are wrapped in Black Napa leather and Alcantara Beluga Black highlighted with stainless trim throughout and finished with plush Euro black carpet. The audio system runs Morel-Virtus Nano Carbon Integra 42 fronts, Audison rear speakers, two 10-inch subwoofers, and a 5-channel amplifier.
Toronto Motorama 2026 ran March 13, 14, and 15 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. The Rebel Ghost 1968 Dodge Charger restomod by Boot Hill was showing for the first time ever at Motorama 2026 and came away as Canadian 10 Grand Champion Finalist. Mopar Bro covered all three days.
