Welcome back to the Mopar Bro network, where we bring you the most aggressive automotive builds, historic restorations, and highest horsepower drag cars in North America. Today, we are walking the floor at the Toronto Motorama to bring you an exclusive look at a true piece of Canadian street racing history. You are looking at a pristine 1971 Plymouth Duster, famously known as "Insatiable II," currently owned by Paul Scarlato. Paul purchased this vehicle back in May 1990, meaning he has owned and cared for this classic American Muscle Car for over 30 years. What you see sitting on the show floor today is the result of an absolutely insane rebuild. This Plymouth Duster went from a bare metal shell in October 2025 to a fully running showstopper, firing up on its own power for the very first time just days before the event.

To truly appreciate this Classic Mopar Restoration, you have to look at the massive spec sheet. Originally a 1971 Plymouth Duster 340 4-speed, the car was transformed into a drag racing machine back in 1975, receiving mini-tubs, an 8-point cage, and eventually a 1968 426 Hemi engine. Today, the heart of this beast is a heavily modified 426 Hemi engine that has been stroked out to a massive 470 cubic inches, pushing a brutal 650 horsepower. The engine bay is an absolute work of art, featuring Aluminum Mopar heads, a FAST 2.0 EFI system, and custom-made stainless fuel lines.

Putting 650 horsepower to the ground in a classic chassis requires serious hardware. This Hemi Drag Car features an A833 Hemi 18 spline manual transmission equipped with a McLeod twin disc clutch and a Hurst Super Shifter. The rear end utilizes an 8 3/4 housing narrowed with a tubular brace, a 489 case with 3.73 gears, and Strange 35-spline axles to handle the violent launches off the drag strip line.

The exterior of this 1971 Plymouth Duster is just as impressive as the mechanical engineering. Incredibly, this car still retains all of its original panels and clocks in at only 23,146 original miles. While the factory color was a classic burnt orange, the car was resprayed in 2020 with a stunning Mopar Sinamon Stick Pearl, giving it a much flashier and aggressive stance under the Toronto Motorama lights. It sits perfectly on a staggered set of Centerline wheels, wrapped in massive Mickey Thompson 29x15.50x15 drag tires in the rear to ensure maximum grip during Muscle Car Drag Racing events. Inside the cabin, the analog racing heritage continues with a structural 8-point cage and custom bucket seats.
