FROM A 1973 CHALLENGER TO A 1971 R/T TRIBUTE
The project began as a 1973 Dodge Challenger that originally carried a 318. Graveyard Carz spent nearly six years transforming it into a factory-inspired 1971 Challenger R/T restomod while keeping the unmistakable shape and character of a classic E-body.
Instead of recreating an original drivetrain, the build uses modern HEMI power and a six-speed Tremec manual transmission. The result brings modern performance and drivability into a car styled as a 1971 Challenger R/T tribute.
BUILT BY GRAVEYARD CARZ
The Challenger was featured during Season 21 of Graveyard Carz. After the build was completed, it travelled from Moncton, New Brunswick, to Moparfest 2026 in New Hamburg, Ontario, where Mopar Bro recorded this owner walkaround.
The video focuses on the finished car and Kevin's ownership story, giving viewers a closer look at how the televised build works as a real car beyond the show.
