1975 PLYMOUTH DUSTER HELLCAT SWAP
Mopar Bro filmed the car at Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga, Ontario. The video starts with a look under the hood and an explanation of the combination before following the Duster onto the drag strip for its pass.
The exterior keeps the unmistakable appearance of a classic Plymouth Duster, while the powertrain is built around a modern supercharged HEMI.
ENGINE AND DRIVETRAIN
According to the owner, the engine combination includes rods, pistons, a camshaft, upper and lower supercharger pulleys, stock cylinder heads, the stock Hellcat supercharger and the stock throttle body.
Power is sent through a complete eight-speed automatic transmission swap with 3.00 rear gears. The Duster runs on 275 rear tires and weighs approximately 3,650 pounds.
9.50 SECONDS AT 142 MPH
The finished combination has run 9.50 seconds at 142 MPH in the quarter-mile. That performance makes this more than a visual restomod: it is a proven single-digit drag car using a classic Plymouth body and modern Hellcat power.
