A classic Plymouth Duster with modern Hellcat power is already a serious combination. This 1975 Duster takes it further with a complete 8-speed transmission swap and a 9.50-second quarter-mile pass at 142 MPH.

Filmed at Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga, Ontario, the video begins with a closer look beneath the hood before following the Duster onto the drag strip.

The build retains the unmistakable appearance of a classic Plymouth while using a modern supercharged HEMI drivetrain. According to the owner, the combination includes rods, pistons, a camshaft, upper and lower supercharger pulleys, stock cylinder heads, the stock Hellcat supercharger and stock throttle body.

Power is sent through a complete 8-speed transmission swap with 3.00 rear gears. The Duster runs on 275 rear tires and weighs approximately 3,650 pounds.

The result is a clean classic Mopar capable of running 9.50 seconds at 142 MPH.
